Stayed here in late June. Arrived late and assigned a second floor room round the back. Just time for a few hours sleep and a shower before hitting the road. Hour or so later, back on the road in the car, I felt something crawling on my back and showed the friend I was rooming with. Small brown insect. Later looked it up and saw it was a bed bug. I was bitten and bites are still appearing over a week later. Friend who shared room with me was absolutely covered in them by the evening. Since found another review by someone else who stayed there in June reporting bed bugs. Our friends who stayed in another room on ground floor were not affected so it only seems to be some rooms. Suggest anyone checking in checks the bed for bed bugs first.

The Staff at the Best Western Governors Inn and Suites are completely trained to detect this type of situation. Our hotel is fully inspected on a monthly basis. On September 3, 2010 we stayed at the Best Western off Emporia in Wichita Kansas. My daughter woke up with bites all over her the next morning. Since then, we have been battling bed bugs in our home. We have gotten our house exterminated twice and about to go a third round. She never had any bites before her stay at Best Western.
