Settled in the room and was watching television and saw a bed bug crawl across a pillow on the bed. Informed front desk and they offered a new room. We declined and moved to a different hotel. They refunded the cost.

Checked into room and did a quick peel back of the sheets and a visual inspection to see a genuine bed bug making his way across the sheet to the side of the mattress. Promptly wheeled my bags back onthe front counter, told the desk staff and made my way to a different brand hotel nearby.

Stayed 1 night(July 24) on 5th floor with my two children. Bites showed up after I got home and just thought they were mosquito bites. I found them on the back of my leg behind my knee and on my other leg. They are horrid! I went to the doctor to get checked to make sure. I called the hotel and the manager said she would have a "chemical investigator" check into the room and get back to me.

On July 26, 2011, I was bitten by bed bugs on both legs at this hotel. I complaint to the manager in the morning. He was rude and have a very bad attitude. He couldn't care less about what happened. DO NOT stay in this type if I were you. Not worth it.

We moved into our apartment April of 2010. 2 weeks later we started getting bites. we had bed bugs. After talking to one of our neighbors we found out they had them as well. They moved in June 2010 due to the immense bed bug infestation...
It is an ongoing problem. we have noticed that a lot of people from the complex are regularly throwing out furniture as well.

There are bed bugs in the womans mission and in the mens they tell us to just deal with it. Women and childeren are being all ate up it is not verry clean. I admit it is a free place to stay but when kids are getting bites and no ones doing anything that crosses the line.

La Quinta Inn & Suites Rapid City

March 4th and 5th my family along with 2 other sets of family members stayed on the 3rd floor. Upon arriving home my daughter and I broke out with an allergic reaction caused by the bed bugs that we picked up at this motel. Currently we have had to treat 3 homes, multiple times due to this incident. The sad part is that I have tried to call them and they will not return any of my calls and we have also sent an email and still have not been contacted. Stay clear of this facility! What happened to customer service? I feel that we at least deserved an apology:(

I was hecking the bed for hair & flipped over a pillow to find the little red guy. I believe it was a bed bug but am not 100% certain. I caught the guy in a cup & took it to the front desk. I was given a new room on a different floor immediately & told they would run anything through the dryer if I wanted (I hadn't put anything on the bed so I declined). By the time I went back up to gather my things, came back down to turn in the old keys, the manager had already called the exterminator. She also sealed the cup I brought to him. My fellow travelers informed me the room was sealed off & a towel stuffed under the door. I have syated at this hotel MANY times & believe it to be a very highly isolated incident. Good hotel - just check the bed before you crawl in.

On 02/18/11, Three people stayed in room #108 and received a total of 44 bed bug bites, which started appearing for the next two days. On 02/20/11, I called the hotel and spoke to the office manager. He informed me that bed bug bites do not show for seven days, he would have the room checked and I could call back on Monday to speak with the manager, Tim Johnson. Every time I tried to contact the hotel manager, Tim Johnson, he was always out and never returned my calls. Since our stay, I have seen other reviews from this hotel in which the manager would never return phone calls. I reported the Quality Inn to the BBB. Stay away from this hotel!
