This wasn't just a few bites, This room is absolutely INFESTED!!!!

Counted at least 40+ bites! Some ran together in the classic row bite configuration.

Astoundingly! The Berkeley County SC. Dept. of Environmental Health does nothing about it! No inspections at all! They are not allowed to do inspections. Talked to a typical DO NOTHING employee Becky Allen. She said she would be glad to " send out a letter. " to notify them of the problem. But Bed Bugs aren't really a concern as they don't spread disease. I informed her that people shouldn't have to be chewed up when they stay at a motel and that they could end up taking bed bugs back to their own home. Becky Allen then tells me that people will just have to call an exterminator if that happens. Hmmm...I wonder if the Berkeley County Dept. of Environmental Health is willing to foot the bill for having your home exterminated because they don't want to do anything about it. She also says they are just a nuisance pest but because they do not spread disease they are not a serious health concern. I then told her that even making the phone call was useless then and that I was just wasting my time. I then told her to get back to getting another cup of coffee and doing nothing! Just more Government Waste! This is exactly why the problem exists in the first place! Due to an ineffective local Government that does absolutely NOTHING!

Bed Bugs have been reported in several apartments and some have been unsuccessfully treated by a couple of different local companies. Owners are usually not willing to forgo the expense of properly exterminating.

Stayed on a Sun night and the following Sat woke to see bed bug bites(bites don't always show up right away). After the Hilton we went right to my sister's home in Florida and she just found her first live bed bug. I have since returned home and have been taking many hours taking numerous precautions to prevent them from entering my home. Exhausting job physically and mentally.

we noticed the bugs crawling after the maid had cleaned she must have disrupted the nest while changing the bed one crawled across the top of my foot we started looking around and could not believe it they were everywhere when i informed the front desk they did nothing I've called the corporate office no answer and they have not returned my calls the motel is still renting the room

My family and I vacationed at Kingston Plantation in Myrtle Beach, SC from August 21-25, 2011. We stayed in a two bedroom villa in St. James Place. On the morning of our third day, I noticed a bed bug crawling across the sofa in the living room of our villa. I immediately called the front desk and they sent out a manager and called Pest Control who confirmed that it was, indeed, a bed bug. The manager and Pest Control checked our entire set of luggage and assured us that it was clear and free of additional bed begs. They assigned us to another unit and delivered the luggage later in the day. My wife spent six hours that afternoon washing and drying all of our clothes. We decided to throw away those four pieces of luggage and numerous other items in order to avoid taking bed bugs back to our home. Unfortunately, the next night I found yet another bed bug in a toiletry bag and reported this to the hotel manager in the morning while we packed to leave. I cannot even begin to explain the frustration and disgust that we experienced and we certainly expected more from a Hilton Resort property. A portion of our vacation was credited back to our account, but the amount of time spent dealing with this issue during and after our vacation was not worth the trip to Kingston Plantation.

On July 1, I was put on third floor to work and got off that night and couldnt stop itching went to the ungert care on the 4th of July, And was told thats what I have. I spoke to the onwer and his insurance people and need to say nothing was done and IM stilling having problems

Found Bed Bugs in room 129 on Oct. 21. Reported to front desk and got another room. They took $10.00 off of bill and said "that is too bad." Felt that they were not concerned about incident.
