I noticed a wierd bug crawling about. I killed and flushed it. Noticed a few more and finally looked it up. Just contacted property owner and starting treatment myself. It's disgusting and now my skin crawls. Also noticed itchy spots since I moved in. Hopefully this will be taken care of or I will be moving.

Woke up covered in bed bug bites back in janury2011. Its now August and adjuster have denied fault.bugs caused home infestation and kept my 3 month old daughter out of the home for1 1/2 months

August 7th, 2010, my husband and I checked into Hilton, Providence, Rhode Island for our first year anniversary. After a day out and coming back tired at the end of the day, we were tired and fell asleep immediately. I had woken up to go to the washroom. I saw a bug in the washroom on one of the paper cups, but I didn't take much notice of it, as i thought it was just some random bug, however, when I came to the room, I noticed fresh blood stains on the bedsheets. When I turned on the lights and woke my husband, we noticed bed bugs and more blood stains on the bed sheet. We immediately called the front desk and reported the bed bugs. They offered to move us to another room. At first we agreed, but within minutes decided not to stay in that establishment for fear of further exposure. The person at the front desk agreed to refund our money for both the nights we were due to stay. However, at the end of it all, we were only refunded for the one night.
I developed a rash and was really itchy for days after. I came home, washed everything that we had taken, and once the itching didn't stop in two days, I also ended up washing my sheets and pillows. I really don't think anyone should have to go through what we went through.
The worst part of it all is the lack of concern shown from the hotel once we got in touch with them about refunding both night's money and never heard back from anyone from the hotel.

Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites PROVIDENCE-WOON

I placed some jersey pullover shirts in their bureau drawers. On Room 202. Shortly after leaving the holiday inn my chest was covered with bed bug bites.Huge itchy red welts. management ignored my request to have room exterminated. The owner was so cheap he asked New England Pest control to quickly inspect for free. It seems as though the Pest control men only looked in the room to say there was no visible activity of bedbugs. Both manager and owner denied my statement. They said I must have had an allergic reaction or to have gotten the bedbugs from somewhere else because of this N.E. Pest Control report that claimed none.No actual chemical tests were done to prove that there were bedbugs..i also informed them of ants for which they ignored. I had itching bites and 9 days later they are beginning to scab over and heal with scars. From the filth of these blood sucking bugs I also caught a severe flu which I have now had for 9 days. consumers should know the owner doesn't care about clean and pest free rooms. Instead of 4 free nights they begrudgingly gave me 1. This holiday Inn owner and manager did not care about my 9 yrs. of loyal business stays only at their hotel.With all three phone calls they repeatedly denied my claims of bed bugs existing.I will never stay at the HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS IN WOONSOCKET, R.I. because of their poor business practices and trying to cut financial corners on pest control and cleanliness.The management's attitude did not show any concern for a customers health, inconvenience and or compensation. I found this whole experience alarming for future customers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
