Feb 9th and 10th, 2012 stay at the Royal Garden Inn room 117

My wife and Grand Daughter have been ill since we left the hotel, My Grand Daughter missed a day of school today with server pain, flue like symptoms with 10 bites on her arms and legs. Her mother is looking for oatmeal bath to relieve the itching right now. My wife just put on a bag of frozen vegetables to relieve the burn and itch, she has been ill all day at work. She is taking off Valentines day as she is too ill with flue symtoms, and is now taking Benadryl and using a Benadryl type lotion. She works for the US Veterans Administration and she will not be able to give a good report about HOTELS.COM as we have had no response from our messages CUSTOMER SERVICE.

My boyfriend and I stayed in room 1 for a few days and I got several bites on my hand, ankles, neck, shoulder and near armpit. After we realized what the bites were we informed the manager (Arthur) and he said that the room we stayed in has not had that issue and then accused us of bringing them in, which neither of us had had bites ever before! after researching them we found out that they can spread though the building fast from other rooms.We left early and did not get any refund for the day we left. We bagged all of our things to wash and dry on high heat as well as took showers. The incident was very inconvenient, we lost time and money! I really hope none came with us!

My neighbor had bed bugs and bites all over herself and kids, the apartment just moved them then moved someone else in within the week! This place is FLOODED with cockroaches and the staff literally REFUSES to believe any of the complaints or they just refuse to do anything. And trying to contact the manager is a joke because she never returns your call. If this is a code violation will someone email me who I can call to stop these people!

My husband and I stayed here for two nights: December 30 and 31. I had a couple of bites on the 31st, but most of the bite marks appeared on January 1 with a couple more on January 2. My husband also had a number of bites appear on January 2 all over both his arms. I had bite marks that swelled quite a bit on both hands and arms. I did research online and found photos of bedbug bites and ours matched the photos perfectly. I emailed the hotel on January 2. As of today, still no response from them. This is the first time I have ever had this experience, and I travel a lot. I probably stay in hotels at least 5-10 nights per year. In reviewing this website, I see that there have been other reports.

Building is infested. Manager/owner will not take proper steps to render the situation. So far, I have lost almost everything, it sickens me. In all of my life, I have never dealt with a situation like this.This has caused a lot of anguish upon my family. I challenge anyone to face something like this, one of the hardest things you will ever do, thanks for reading.

After a 4 night stay at this hotel, I have 20 bites and counting. I have read that it can take up to 3 days for a bite to display itself on the body, and that appears to be what is happening to me--days after leaving this hotel new bites are surfacing on my skin, but not on my partner whom I share a bed with at home. I am also apparently allergic to these bites as they are swollen, intensely itchy, red, and hot to the touch. It's pretty horrible. I'm glad our stay there wasn't any longer. I'll never go back.

Stayed at Majestic View Lodge from 09-22-2011 to 09-27-2011. On the 24th, I noticed one big itchy bite on my right hand. Thought nothing of it since I'd been hiking the Narrows that day. Another appeared on the 27th on my drive home. On the 28th, woke up with 8 more on my right hand. At first I thought it was poison oak, since my girlfriend had none on her whatsoever and had been sleeping in the same bed. More the next day, this time 3 on my left hand, in a straight line. That's when I knew. My girlfriend took till Oct 2nd to show any but had a far worse reaction. While mine are barely visible now, hers are still appearing, big, red, itchy, with blisters. Always groups of 3, straight or semi-straight line. My girlfriend was pretty fed-up by the 4th and called the hotel. Got the standard polite treatment, suppositions about where else she could have gotten them and nothing more. I e-mailed them on the 5th and got a similar statement about how careful they are and how many have checked up on my room after the initial report and found no traces. It's worth mentioning that none of the people that allegedly checked were licensed exterminators but simply housekeeping and maintenance staff. I never asked for compensation of any kind so I was expecting they'd do at least that much: call an exterminator to check. While I do believe their staff saw nothing, it doesn't mean the pests aren't there. I'm just praying we didn't take any home with us. None of us has been into any movie theaters or other hotels in months. Both our bites started at days intervals. This is NOT a coincidence.

Found the bed bug crawling across bathroom floor. I recognized it immediately since I'm a biologist. I took it to the front desk in a tissue. They apologized and changed our room, but acted like I had brought the bug in myself. Said they would call their Ecolab service and they would want to talk to me. I never heard from them, even though I checked with them several times. To top it off, they charged me for my stay after they told me they would comp my room.
