Dear Sir, As you know, since the second day I moved in, I was bitten by something and had to go to the VA Hospital. Dr. Linda Kullima, my primary care doctor documented the area as red and swollen. We did not know of its origin at the time. But everyday since, I’ve been bitten in the same area over and over to the point of red swollen disfiguration along with the rest of my body. Not ever experiencing this before, I had no idea what was happening. This had happened daily during my two month tenure. I laid down on my bed the24th of January 2012 for the last time, I was attacked so viciously on my neck that I had a deep red rash and burned on my shoulders, arms and back. It had to be bed bugs. By the way, Bed Bugs do not bite you, they suck or gorge themselves on the blood of their host. In Apartment 296, I WAS THEIR HOST FOR TWO WHOLE MONTHS. I BEGGED you to immediately call an exterminator and provide a safe habitat environment as you promised me in our lease agreement. Four or Five days and nights later in hell, you broke the lease. You broke our agreement, and for this – I want off the lease. It is null and void anyway according to Texas Law. You ignored my pleas, you were very callous about it and told me you would only send one out with no relief a whole FIVE DAYS LATER on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 while I slept in a small bathroom. You will testify to this. It’s documented. According to my previous apartment management, I have never asked for any help getting rid of any bed bugs and that there WAS NO BED BUG PROBLEM WHATSOEVER in my previous apartment. I have been with them for 16 months! It had only started when I took up occupancy in your apartment, Mr. Gonzales. Texas Tenant Law states, “ You can’t hold him responsible for any portion of the rent from his remaining lease term, and you may have to pay damages if he brings the matter to court.” Believe me, you re-infestation in Apartment 296 is already starting to begin. You cannot kill bed bugs with chemicals. The eggs remain. The only way to kill bed bugs is with heat. That is why your claimed spraying in 296 before I arrived did not work. It only killed the mature bugs, but not the eggs. It will only be a small matter of time when the bed bugs will come back in the three apartments and mine you sprayed last week. I want out of the lease. You failed to provide me a safe habitat throughout the two months I’ve be here already so you already broke our lease agreement. There are Texas laws that protect me from your form of doing things around here. I’m asking for you to not charge me for this month, let me break the lease. This applies to Tenant Law. The Houston Environment agency asked you to do this. They will be mediating with you about this. I’ve heard they’ve already contacted you. Mr. Gonzales, and I’m sure your disregard for my welfare is documented. I want to go back to an apartment. I saw them today and I told them about the bedbugs and my short two month time with you. Mr. Gonzales, please do ONE nice thing and let me go. Give me a clean bill of health so I can get this apartment. I’ve done nothing but have been honest and treated you according to how you treated me. Please let me break the lease. You want me to vacate! Just let me vacate to another apartment. Do you deserve to make me live on the streets or some getto? Is that what you want? Really? I’ve been as a good a tenant as one could be under these terrible circumstances. PLEASE LET ME OFF THE LEASE AND DON’T CHARGE ANYTHING EXTRA LIKE THE TENANT LAW STATES. PLEASE? I don’t want to but I’m willing to take this farther, and you might want to consider your management overseeing this might not be in your favor nor in their best interests.

On the morning of 12 Feb found a bed bug crawling on my pillow. Went to the front desk and they gave me that night free and moved me and the family to another room. Went to see the sights and came back to the room that evening. My wife checked the bed and found more bed bugs. Went to the front desk and the mangager offered to move us again. The manager was not willing to compinsate my family for our troubles. We ended up moving to another hotel that night at 8:30 pm.

Level 5 infestation. Apartment Complex made me pay for extermination and found out that Bldg #3 had them and I am in bldg #4 and was never informed. Could have been prevented if proper extermination had taken place and possible notification to entire complex. Not happy 9 months pregnant and have no where to go.....

We where moved in to this apartment and after being there a month we started to notice tick like bugs and I asked managememnt at this point assistant manager tells us the apartment was infested with bedbugs. At this point I could nothing had to trash all my belongings they had gotten into clothes and sofa and all beds as well as the kitchen table. The times they sent someone to spray the pest control person I caught leaving after 5 minutes after they made me waste two days in moving everything. the third visit nothing was changing I gave up and moved out.

Bed bugs in apt upstairs...neighbors moved, but bedbugs trekked to other apts nearby even though apt rep and pest control person said once the gel gets in walls, no more infestation.

Had to throw away tons of designer clothing and my son's bedding, mattress and my living room furniture. I am moving and now have to start from scratch becuase I don't want to infest the new house I am moving to. I will never live in an apt community again!!!

It's emabrrassing that my son has sores on his skin and my cat has a huge sore from the bed bugs biting him!!!

Manager has done nothing. Will call city health dept tomorrow to report their negligence...
