I have been living at Olympik Village Apartments (IRET properties) for the past two years. I recently discovered a beg bug infestation in my apartment. I immediately reported to the office. I later found out that at least two other apartments had been infested. My room-mate (who is moved out two months ago) used to frequently visit those apartments.

I am now told by the management that I have to bear the entire cost of bed bug treatment. I also have to get the treatment done from a specific pest control agency that charges an astronomical $650 for chemical treatment and $1450 for heat treatment. I am very angry and frustrated that i have to shell out that much money for something that was no fault of mine.

I found out I had bed bugs a few weeks after staying at the Kahler Grand Hotel - on the 8th floor (819?). I didn't get bit at the hotel as far as I could tell, and I only started getting noticeable bites a couple of weeks later. I'm not positive I got the bed bugs from the hotel, but it seems like the most likely suspect...
