Stayed at Red Roof Inn for the third or fourth year in a row and as always the room appeared very clean and the only thing we noticed was a different bed in the one room, but they had new beds three years in a row. Never thought to check anything because we never had any problems the previous years, but I'm kicking myself over and over for not checking. We brought back some hitch hikers and are currently in the process of having a PCO treat the house for the second time. While staying in the room we constantly pulled and moved sheets due to having seven women in one suite and people sleeping in different areas and never noticed any fecal stains, blood stains or any bugs or eggs. We always stayed at this hotel due to it's convenient location to all of our shops on the Magnificent Mile, but all of my "fun" money has been spent on a PCO, the electric bill and other frivolous items needed to help remove these pests from my house so I will not be returning this year and possibly many years to come!!!

I was notified late last year of a neighboring apt that had bed bugs. The property manager exterminated the infected unit as well as mine and others. Late last week, I discovered welts on my arms and I asked to be relocated either within one of their suites or in an off-site hotel while the problem was resolved. Both fell on deaf ears. My apartment is still not functional or habitable and I have been in a hotel since last week. The folks in the property management firm have decided NOT to reimburse me for my hotel stay despite this being an issue in the past.

This apartment has bed bugs! It caused me and my boyfriend to have to move out. We knew people on the first and second floors that admitted to having bed bugs for over six months with little being done by the landlords to fix the problem. When we asked the landlord for a proper treatment to our belongings he refused. He offered to spray bugspray in our room and on our stuff, but the problem was already too big for some bug spray. I feel bad for the ones still living there with the problem and i think its sick that they still advertise open rooms when they know about the problem and do very little to control it. The price and location of the building is great, but in the end we ended up throwing out so much and spending so much money to fix the problem it wasn't worth it!

Numerous units are infected within this building and issue has been spreading for months. Landlord did not treat building or let other tenants know of the issue, so bedbugs spread easily. He seems to be incompetent and would rather blame each new victim than handle the issue the right way and have the entire building treated.

My son and I checked into the Aloha Motel on October 23rd and on October 28th I discovered bed bugs in our bed. I informed the night and day manager and was accused of lying. I was told that they dont have bed bugs,that they dont know where that bug came from. I insisted that they contact the owner and was told he was unable to be reached.

I have lived in my apt. for 16 years. I was ill the entire summer. I spent it on my sofa. That was as far as I could travel. My landlord did work on the apt. below me and after I returned to work, they were working on the apt. above me. I woke one morning to find a rash on my leg. I thought it was a reaction to medication. When I found it on the other leg I called my doctor. I was told this was not a reaction that had ever been recorded. A few mornings later, as I was getting ready for work I saw "a few bugs" on my bed. Within a week I found them on my sofa, where I had spent 7 weeks bug free, but ill. My landlord says it is my fault. No one else has complained. They will have an exterminator here in a week or 10 days or more! I can't sleep. If I do sleep, it is after steaming, vaccuming, and spraying my sofa which I have to cover in plastic and double sheets. I am 70 and not enjoying good health or strength. I asked for help to get rid of my bed and sofa, but it fell on deaf ears. I asked for help to cover my mattress and box spring as I can't lift them, again deaf ears. The janitor does not want to come in my apartment as he might get a "bug" on him. I need assistance. I don't know where to turn.

I checked into the Chicago Hilton room 907 on August 12,2011. I thoroughly searched the beds before unpacking. I found several dead bugs on the mattress under the mattress cover. I reported it to management and security helped us to quickly change rooms. I do not know for certain if what I found were bed bugs, but there was definitely a small bug of some kind in the room. Our next room, room 935 was fine and bug free with no further problems during our three night stay.

This building has had a bed bug infestation for at least a year. Because it's a condo building, it is up to individual owners to treat the units. Some are being treated but others are not. The bugs just keep moving from unit to unit.

I checked in to the hotel in the early evening and took a nap since I was tired after a long flight. I woke up around 9pm and had bites on my arms. I showed the bites to the staff and told them I couldn't stay there. They were very apologetic, although apologies only go so far when it comes to something like this. They agreed to give me a refund, and I moved to another hotel immediately. My fingers are crossed that my card doesn't get charged anyway, and that my luggage didn't pick up any "hitch-hikers" during the three hours I was there...

May 13, 2011 Both my neighbor and I have bedbugs. Parliament Enterprise, the building owner, is footing the full extermination bill, and paid for the initial inspection that confirmed we had bedbugs. We've had this problem for about a month, and according to the exterminator it will take 1-2 months to completely get rid of them.

We stayed at the downtown Marriott Residence Inn for two nights, April 30 and May 1, 2011. On the first morning my husband had a bite on his side....we thought nothing of it...but I then ended up with four bites on my upper legs. Upon returning home and doing some research online I found that according to photos shown that the red welts we had appear identical to the photos shown. This was a very nice hotel, new looking and very clean in appearance. I am usually a person who inspects every inch of a hotel room before laying down my head, especially the bed but due to the appearance of this room I did not do so. My mistake.....and now we are paying the price. Hopefully none of them made their way back home with us....I've washed everything twice in hot water and dryed extensively in the hottest dryer settings. Only time will tell I guess....in the future I will definitely be back on my very through checking of any hotel room I may be staying at as well as checking the national registry for reports prior to making any reservations.

Took my daughter to a Dr. and he recognized the bedbug bites. Next time will stay with friends in Chicago as I do not trust any hotels or management and housekeeping.

Not only did I wake up with bite marks, but when we got home I found them in my daughter diaper bag. After we found out what the bites were I went through what we had at the spinghill suite and found bugs in the bag. I called the hotel they denied having them and frequently put me on hold, I'm assuming to give me the P.C. pharases of denial they are coached to use.

This place is infested and had been for a while. My latest encounter was during Thanksgiving weekend, room P77. About 30 minutes after lying on the bed I started itching. I got up and left the room. When I returned and turned on the light I saw a bed bug crawling on the sheet! I left immediately, but not before having to endure for several days afterwards the itching from several dozen bites.

I checked into this hotel, Rm 1760 on 11/13/2010. Next day, I woke up with bed bug bites, numerous, on my arm and back. We reported this to the management who assigned us to rm 1901 and promised to get the room inspected and "taken care of". I insisted that they get all my clothes laundered, which they did. Interestingly, no one from the management, other than the security guy who came when we first complained, even offered any apology for the inconvenience. I missed couple of meetings that day. The next day, I called as I forgot something in the previous room, only to discover that the room was already assigned to the next guest. So much for reporting!

I live in my apartment for 4 years I discovered I had bed bugs in may 2010, my apartment was totally infested, the land lord did nothing I have to throw away everything I owned. I was able to salvage some clothes in which I had to wash three times in frear that the bugs were still alive. I have moved to another building, I hop this never happens to me again. Since I have moved he still has not call in exterminators to fix the bed bug infestation. In fact I saw where he was listing my apartment on a classified web site. I was not able to get an assistance with replacing my things because my renters insurance stated that my policy did not cover bed bugs infestation. DO NOT RENT APARTMENTS ON 1359-73 W ESTES THE WHOLE BUILDING IS INFESTED

Recently (within the last month) this building has had an infestation, I was living there at the time of infestation and have since moved out. At this time, the landlord (a private building owner, not a managed building) has treated the initial infestation in the unit bedbugs were found. HOWEVER, he did not treat the surrounding units (there are a total of 4 units in the whole building) so be cautious if looking into renting at this unit. There could be more hiding out....
