on march 21 we stayed at the Howard Johnson on interstate 10 west.we was there for my daughter gradation.we got up to go see her for the first time and my other daughter woke up with bumps all over her,and on her blanket was two bed bugs.took it to management and they just wonted to put us in another room.we declined,we are so disgusted.We still had to pay for one nights stay.

My family stayed in room 314 from 03/09/12 till 03/11/12, where my children ages 3&9 where bitten numerous times as they slept on the sofabed..I called for mgmt to come and see them and it was confirmed through mgmt that they have had this problem.

On the morning of 12 Feb found a bed bug crawling on my pillow. Went to the front desk and they gave me that night free and moved me and the family to another room. Went to see the sights and came back to the room that evening. My wife checked the bed and found more bed bugs. Went to the front desk and the mangager offered to move us again. The manager was not willing to compinsate my family for our troubles. We ended up moving to another hotel that night at 8:30 pm.

Today I checked out o. The Hampton Inn. Two days ago the hotel told us there was plumbing issues, but I went back to get my shoes I left in room 500 and the room was completely dismantled. I asked housekeeping why and she said bed bugs. One of the people in our conference also had to move because of them. Thankfully I found out otherwise would have brought them into my home. If I wouldn't have lefty shoes in the old room I would never of known. I am completely infuriated by this situation. The Hampton Inn handled this horribly wrong by not telling me the truth.

We were staying there for a conference 9/2011. My colleagues found bedbugs in the beds (took photos), and associated bites. I never saw any but found what could have been bites. The hotel is in two buildings; they were in the building across the street, I was in the main one (rm 223).

I was in San Antonio for a conference in December 2009. Luckily, I pulled back the sheets of the bed before getting in...there were 20-30 bed bugs crawling under the sheets, so I am sure many more tucked into crevices and folds that I didn't see. A colleague of mine staying at same hotel noticed wewlts/bites and thought it was mosquitos until she heard my story...it was probably bed bugs, and she also left the hotel. The hotel offered me another room, but when the room they offered me had apparently been occupied and not cleaned (empty potato chip sack and bed not made), I left the hotel at 1:00am and went to another one closer to the convention center.

they are currently renovating but our room was not yet. we only stayed one night and werent in the room longer than going to bed and getting up to leave the next morning, there were two double beds and 4 people, only 1 person seems to be affected but all over the back and side of his arms are covered in what looks like a rash of bug bites.

I didn't realize there was a bedbug bite when I first found a bite on my arm. After a night, there were almost 20 bites on my right arm and a couple on my legs. It was the worst experience in my life!!

On June 5, 2011 - I was sleeping for about an hour; shortly I felt a burning sensation on my upper back/upper right arm; I called front desk and a front-desk staff member came up and we witnessed small/flat oval reddish-brown bug in the bed. --I had to be treated in ER for @ 50-bites --Till this day--hotel hasn't admitted to said incident; although the the facts/and the evidence shows that this hotel has rooms that are unkept, soiled, and lack extreme maintenance. This hotels may have made improvements since June 2011 --due to all the scrutiny they are facing due this matter.

I went back and told the manager and she didn't care. Dont stay at this hotel they over charge for rooms that are stuck in the 90's

On Saturday April 2, 2011, I checked in at this facility. At about 2:00 AM I felt what I thought was a mosquito bite. I slapped my arm and saw I had blood. I turned on the light and realized it was a small redish bug. I proceeded to get up and noticed three more on the sheets. I got some tissue and wrapped the rest and put pressure on them and could see more blood. I looked on the other bed but couldn't see any. I did not sleep after that and guarded my daughter who was on the same bed and made sure these didn't get on her since she had a competition the next morning at 7:00AM and needed the rest. Then at about 5:00AM I went to the front desk to ask the clerk for a hair dryer and showed her the evidence on the tissue. Her response was, "Oh". Once my family was up I told them about the bugs and asked them to inspect and check evrything. My daughter said, "Mom there are more on the pillows". She was right and I even took pictures. Again I called the front desk to ask for plastic bags since I was not taking this problem back home in my luggage. It was then that the clerk told me, "I spoke to my manager and we will reimburse the hotel charge". I was not there for a free-be. I was there to rest and watch my daugter compete. Instead I left with my belongings in plastic bags, no luggage, horrible customer service and bug bites all over my body. As of today April 5,2011, this facility has not issued the credit back to my card.

I checked in to the Microtel on S. Frio Street in San Antonio this weekend and immediately checked out when I pulled down the sheets and saw several bed bugs sprinkled all over the bed. Among the other less than sanitary things we found at the hotel, this was enough to make us move on to a nicer hotel. When we brought the cup full of bugs up to the counter, the employee did not seem surprised with our findings and immediately refunded our money. Seems like this is probably not a new occurrence at the Microtel, as I have subsequently read other reviews complaining of this problem.
