Did not think to look for bugs in the room. Came home to find I was covered in bites - at least 30. Now have found a bug in my own bed. Have had to call pest control and will begin throwing out all of my suitcases.

After spendin two nights here I awoke at approx, 3am. Turned on the light and saw two bugs on the sheet. Hads never seen a bed bug before. One of them was swollen with blood so I knew I had been bitten. Went to the office first thing in the morning frantic and upset. I had also pulled away plastic from the corner of the bed and found at least 7 more. The owner was decent about it and gave me another room on a different floor. However the guy who worked for him acted annoyed and complained that I was getting a bigger room for the same money. It was traumatizing to know I was sleeping in that room. I was told by another guest that after I had checked out that same man blamed ME for the bedbugs! Too angry at this motel.

My family stayed at this hotel at the end of August 2010 for 2 nights. The first night there I got very sick. Stayed in the hotel all the next day while my husband took the kids to Cedar Point. I remember seeing bugs crawling on the floor, near the bed, and found a few in the bed. Thought nothing of it at that time. Had never seen a bed bug. Didn't even know what one looked like. In January of this year I had a rash that would not go away. Thought it was new laundry soap, or dry skin. Went to doctor in February and dr. did not know what it was. My mother told me over the phone they could be bed bug bites. She described what the bugs look like. Looked in our mattress at home and sure enough, we had bed bugs. They were in our mattress, frame, bedskirt, railing of our wood bed. It was disgusting! Had to throw away our mattress, pillows, and bedskirt. Since then we have tried 5 different products to get rid of them. We still occasionally see one and the kids even got them in their room. I still can't sleep at night, feel like a sitting duck for the bed bugs! All that for spending 2 nights in this hotel for my daughters 12th birthday. We have been through a lot. It's very embarrassing! How could a hotel let people stay in it knowing they have these bugs? I just cry thinking about how long we have lived with them not knowing it. Wish I had someone to talk to about it.

Found one crawling across pillow evening of only stay - June 2011. Caught and took to front desk where clerk said she didn't know what it was, said she'd look it up and call the room to tell us, but still couldn't tell us without an exterminator coming in. Not sure I believe that as we found it online in minutes after returning home.

I stayed at this hotel the night of September 24th, 2010 and found bed bugs. I searched the room the night before sleeping there, but not well enough. Woke up to blood spots on the sheets, but no bite marks, at least for the first 5 days, but then they starting showing up in full force - at least 50 all told. I was refunded for the night, but not offered any compensation for the fact that I slept in a room full of bloodsucking bugs and now had to have all my luggage, clothing, etc laundered and/or destroyed. Horrible hotel, will never stay there again.

Two of us stayed, as we always do each year, at the Cedar Point Breakers Express Hotel. We went home to two different states and apparently brought bed bugs with us. We did have a few bites each while we were in the hotel but at the time did not realize it was bedbug bites until we went home and both had and are still having issues with many bites.
