the management company knew their were bed bugs infesting this place and still let me move in. i had to throw away my bed and my brand new leather couches and they till have done nothing. every apartment in this place is infested.

I stayed at this hotel from 9/23/11 - 9/26/11. The first night was fine (I had looked for signs of bedbugs when I got to the room and found nothing) but the second morning I woke up with 5 bites on my body and found one bug in the bed. The hotel called EcoLab to come check the room and later that day I was told they had found nothing, no bedbugs or signs of bedbugs, even though the head housekeeper had seen my bites and the bug I found. I was moved to a new room (432) for my last night and had no further problems.

Our baby got up around 3 and we saw the bugs. About 50 on each of the queen beds. My wife and I both got one bit. We were lucky. We spoke with the desk and they said they have break out about once per month. They treat with chemicals.

On entering the room on arrival my wife began checking the bed and before pulling back the top sheet she saw a bed bug on the turned down sheet. BTW, my wife has made a study of what bed bugs look like.

Checked in Friday,7/22...got bit that night. Didn't know what it was. The next day, I complained and asked for another room, but they refused. Stayed Saturday & Sunday (7/23 & 7/24) On Monday, I complained again...asked for my money back. They refused to refund me and kicked me out of my room. Had to destroy all of my clothes and personal belongings.

OUR BABY WAS COVERED IN BITES! WE NEVER SAW BUGS OR BITES UNTIL THE WEATHER WAS WARM. WE MOVED IN IN FEB (15 BELOW ZERO)WE HAD TO SIGN A FORM THAT THERE WERE NO BED BUGS(IT WAS DAYLIGHT AND VERY COLD, WE SAW NOTHING AT THAT TIME) THE APARTMENT HAS SPAYED THE ONE ROOM 2 TIMES IN 2 WEEKS. NO OTHER ROOMS WERE TOUCHED. WE THREW OUT HER CRIB, BUMPERS AND MATTRESS. WERE NOT SURE WHAT ELSE TO DO. WE DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO REPLACE ANY OF THIS. DO WE HAVE ANY RIGHTS ON THIS MATTER?

we had a bed bug incident out of nowhere. One day my wife and i just started getting bites all over our bodies. we told management, and they sent out a man from terminix. We did everything we were told to do, and he came back twice, but the job wasn't done. It was the worst experience we've ever had. we had to throw out ALL of our furniture and we had to break our lease to move out.

we had then so bad we couldn't sleep in our bed, couch, on the floor. we had a brand new bed, and couch, that we had to get rid of, and the landlord didn't pay for anything. i was getting bit so bad that i had red bumps and welts all over my body. we moved far away from that place!

Carlton Manor Apartments have has at least 3 accounts of bed bugs in this apartment complex in 2010 alone. Residents were only notified after the third time(almost no one knew of the first or second infestation, including apartments that fell into the cleaning bubble). Apparently, my apartment fell into the bubble before but I was never notified or cleaned. Oh, and no, they won't be shut down because the owner's son is friends with the pest control company being used and the pest guy is considered family with the city inspection man who has come out and cleared the building so many times this year. Apparently another infestation is already happening at Carlton Manor Apartments and boy am I glad I moved out! It cost me over $600 out of my own pocket to get rid of them just from my laundry bill and motel bill which doesn't include the furniture we threw out because of our lack of faith in the actual complete removal of the bedbugs in the complex. Also,I paid for my own pest guy and we were informed that while our apartment has no signs of the critters, nearly 2/3rds of the building was infested and was not notified by management.
