Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

I booked a room for 4 days at 1440 Harrison rd in Colorado Springs on 06/12/23. Day 2 I noticed welts on my back and side didn’t think nothing of it but the next day about 20 more showed up on my ankles and arms. The morning of the third day I ripped the bed apart and found a bed bug under the box spring. I collected it in a cup and showed one of the employees present at the counter along with the welts on my side and leg. The response I got was they heard about the pet friendly rooms having issues. The concern is why are they still being rented out? The guy was nice and offered me another room but I didn’t want to risk bringing them to another room if they got in my belongings so I’m staying in the same room for my last night. The trim around the wall which is exactly like the carpet on the floor has a gap that I spotted 4 in that gap when I arrived back in the afternoon.
