My husband and our young son have lived here for over a year and have incountered a roach infestion,moth,and BEDBUGS!It's horrible.We have all been bit and they do nothing to solve the problem.They have sprayed twice and not consistent with the spraying process either.it's supposed to be every couple of weeks and the have done it every couple of months.My husband has also developed a severe hive like rash from the pesticides.We are in the process of moving and we have to leave all of our belongings in the trash and start over.Do not live here!The manager is horrid as well!

Whatever you do, DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! Recurrent BB issue in the complex! Amongst other terrible things. First found them 6 months after move-in. They treated once in December 2010 then January 2011. They came back in October 2011. PCO performed another treatment 11/2011 then December 2011. They came right back New Years day 2012 @ 12.15 am. We had been living with our parents for 20 years prior to moving and had never had this problem before. We want to move but can't afford it as we keep having to throw out things then replace them, repeat ad nauseum.

I have been in this apartment under a month and within the first week, discovered bed bugs. The building has had bedbugs in the past, which the manager confirmed. They are charging me to treat the apartment, saying I brought them in (the inspector claimed to find bed bugs in my picture frames, which came from my parents' home in another state, and they DO NOT have bed bugs.

There are bedbugs in the building. When reported to the manager, they only treat the unit where bedbugs where reported. They do not notify other residents or inspect nearby units to see how far the bedbugs have spread. I have been getting tore up by bedbugs every night for a month now (I did not know it was bedbugs until I found them a few days ago).

I moved into this building in July of 2010, after about a week i started getting massive amounts of bites on my feet. Exterminators were called in, sprayed the carpets and beds, but they still come out of the electrical sockets of the walls and through the doors. I have hundreds of scars on my feet alone, from the bites. DO NOT MOVE HERE.

We stayed there a couple of times. The first time we saw the bugs we didn't realise they were bed bugs. Not until after the second time styaing there and after that we saw a report on bed bugs did we recognize them as bedbugs.

I have terribly itchy red welts aligned along the sides of my neck and face. It has caused me much stress as I have close to a phobia of bugs. I believe that I got it on the chair with the footstool in the room where we stayed for two nights. My husband did not get any bites, or hasn't yet shown any evidence of bites, but I did, and I believe it is from the chair that had a bad smell and seemed unfresh. My husband did not sit on that chair, but I sat there for a few hours, and even fell asleep on the chair. I would like to, as a minimum, be reimbursed for the entire cost of our stay. I have never had bed bug bites before, and I am a professor who teaches regularly, and the welts on my neck and face are unsightly and embarrasing. Please respond asap to advise how you will be addressing this claim.

I have been struggling with bed bug since end of march 2011. I reported to manager and they treated four times for a month. however, their treatment did not work at all. bed bug keep coming out.I suggest to landlord to get heat treatment. but they didn't response at all. and I ask to move out. but landlord refused it because i have contract until end of november. so I still live in this room with bed bugs. This is really really horrible situation. I can't sleep well and I have to deal with toxic because they keep spray toxic to kill bed bugs in my room. however, I feel the toxic are killing me rather than bed bugs.

we stayed there this weekend for a cheer competition at the convention center because it was close and online, the pictures looked nice. walked in and was impressed with lobby. went up to our room and felt like a prison or a hospital. hallways narrow and room was way too small. first night i layed in bed and could not stop itching, didnt think much of it. next morning, went to the competition all day and came home to change. my sister noticed red bumps all over me that i had been itching all day without noticeing. they were not there the day before. checked bed and found little specks that up close had legs..... hotel housekeeper said it was dust and manager was not going to do much then change sheets. i insisted on moving rooms. security came to take pictures of bites and he himself said they get complaints all the time and that they breed in heating vents and matresses in hotel. at 125 dollars a night, i did not want to pay to basically be a blood donor for nasty bed bugs. they didnt handle it right.

Ask about bed bugs before signing a lease at Park LaBrea Apartments!

I live in a tower apartment and I have noticed three times in the past few months that they are treating for bed bugs. I asked the workers what they were doing and they did not want to tell me...just said treating for bugs. I had recently seen on the news that they kill bed bugs by raising the temperature above 120 degrees. I saw that the workers had huge propane heaters in the hall pointing into a plastic sealed apartment, so I asked if they were treating for bed bugs and they still did not want to tell me. Another tenant that lived near that apartment was coming home and told me that it was for bed bugs.

Since that original infestation, I have seen them working on two other floors of our tower. If I saw these 3 treatments, how many did I not see? I am concerned that the bed bugs will migrate into my apartment. Besides the horror of parasitic bed bugs sucking my blood while I sleep, I do not want everything I own heated to 120 degrees. Also based on how poorly tenets are treated at Park LaBrea, there is a very good chance that they would bill me for the extremely expensive bed bug treatment.

Stayed here on November 13, 2010 to celebrate 2 birthdays for the night. Came home late at night to find 1 bed bug on a pillow, then saw one on slippers, then like a parade they started emerging, crawling on the bed and anything that was on it like my friends belt and cosmetic bags. We were able to catch 3 for evidence to give to the hotel employee for evidence. We hauled ass out of there at 330 am towards home, an hour away. We have yet to talk to the manager to demand a refund because he just never seems to be available.

A fourth floor unit in this Hollywood/Los Feliz, Leeds Property Management building had a massive infestation recently. It was treated by company maintenance, and then by Rhino Pest Control out of Gardena. Tenants likely brought them in in used furniture, but previous infestation is a possibility. Now I have a problem as well. Ordered Diatomaceous Earth from amazon, have been using Hot Shot spray. Was originally using the jump-in-the-shower-fully-clothed method, but to little avail. Purchased a $100 Shark steam unit from Home Depot today and used it as much as possible, then when I sat down to look up bedbug stories I noticed I had about 10 new bites. Awaiting exterminator. Considering using fogger in the meantime. God help us all. Death to the bedbug. Death to the flea. We must never forgive and never forget. Pursue them to the ends of the earth, even if it costs us our life, if we may wipe them off the face of the earth, it will be worth it. Preferably in the most agonizing and torturous method possible.

They rented me this apartment knowing it was drenched in Cat Urine. THEN, I start seeing little bugs everywhere....like I've never seen before. Finally, I awake to find a big bed-bug full of my blood, crushed to death in my sheets. I have vacated the apartment and want to tell the other tenants, but do not want to be sued for slander or libel....this management company is SHADY! RHB....just another name in big, careless property management!!!!!

Bed bugs were so bad. The manager did set up pest control to come out and treat the apartment. It didn't work the first time so they had to come out the 2nd time. I'm still not sure it has worked but they only treated my apartment and no other apartments surrounding mine.

These "newly renovated" apartments are merely painted over and no steps have been taken to get rid of the bed bugs riddling this building. When Management was approached about the infestation, their answer was to send their onsite maintenance man to spray home depot type chemicals, needless to say they are still here and I am getting bitten, I have been here a mere 20 days and I am locked into a year lease. STAY AWAY!
