Me and my girlfriend stayed at this hotel (room 204) from 10/31/10 - 11/1/10. On the second night I found a bed bug on my girlfriend's pillow. It just fed because it was bloated and bright red. We brought the bug to the front desk to report the incident. After an hour, bites appeared on my girlfriend's wrists and later bites appeared on her neck and face. They offered to switch our room but we just wanted to leave the hotel. Management said that both nights would be comped. Since we didn't know how to properly clean our bags they were left behind for fear that we would bring some bed bugs home with us. Before we left management told us everything will be taken care of. That was obviously a lie. After we left they tried to re-charge both nights even though we didn't authorize it. We are now fighting that charge with our credit card company. The hotel filed a claim with their insurance company for the bags we left behind but our case was dismissed because the exterminators found no "infestation" of bed bugs at the hotel. We had a lot of questions about how the exterminators treated the room but we never received the report or any answers. Once we returned home we did some research on proper screening and cleaning of bags infested with bed bugs and felt a lot more comfortable with bringing them home. Since we were not going to be compensated and we didn't want to loose some of the bags we asked if they could send them back so we could treat them. Of course they wanted us to pay for shipping too. Even though they told us everything would be taken care of, hotel management did not take any responsibility for what happened. Once we left they seemed to do everything they could to make this issue as hard as possible to deal with. I will never stay at this hotel again or recommend it to anyone.
