We arrived in cabin c59 on 8/7 and learned on 8/9 that we had a bedbug infestation. As there was no other available cabins,we had to leave the park and stay at an offsite cabin 20 mins away. The Manager told me there was no report I could fill out, that the home office handled these matters. I feel that I should have been able to document the matter while there. I have yet to call back the rep from the home office but will do so. Housekeeping laundered our belongings but the more I read about contamination/transfer, i’m very dissatisfied with how management handled this situation. I feel awful for the offsite property we stayed at, having brought our backpacks and luggage with us before fully understanding how easily bedbugs can be transferred. I would like to contact them and offer a warning but am also afraid of any liability issues. Ditto for the hotel we stayed at in Wash DC, I feel terrible if we might have brought anything with us. Yogi bear staff was quick to give me a full refund and they knew about laundering our belongings but not much else. I asked a few times if I could address my concerns/questions to a professional exterminator but that went nowhere. I also spoke to a yogi bear ranger who was also an EMT because I was very concerned when my son’s bites were multiplying each day but he had no great knowledge of the subject either. So I spent most of my vacation researching the matter myself and dealing with multiple bites that blistered/pussed. My son suffered the most bites and was irritable for the 2nd part of our Vacation in wash DC. The bites felt more irritated/itchy in the sun, it has been pure hell. The worst thing we’ve ever experienced as a family and I lost sleep checking my children at night with a flashlight at the next 2 properties we stayed at. I will continue to monitor things at home because my biggest fear is that we brought one or more into our car (they won’t die in the excessive heat of a car, apparently they’ll just find a part of the car that’s cooler and they can live 6 months without a meal). And if just one egg survived in any of our belongings, god help my home. I double laundered everything upon reaching home and obviously clothes have shrunk and stuffed animals are ruined. I have no doubt another family is staying in our cabin now and I feel absolutely terrible for them. This was a serious infestation of adult bedbugs across 2 rooms in the cabin, it defies logic that we were the first family to experience this in C59. Either someone’s claims before us were not taken seriously or an exterminator was called in using methods that failed to fully eradicate the problem.

We stayed 3 nights from July 27 to July 30. We noticed after our first night blood dots on our white bed linens consistent with bed bugs but we didn't realize it at the time. Two days after returning home, our son broke out with bite marks all over his body. Now 5 days later my wife and daughter has them all over their bodies. We noticed while we were there that the cabin next to ours was being fumigated. They should have done ours as well.....

Bed bugs this year, scabies last year, fleas the year before. I am never going back there! This year, we left and my daughter and husband had bug bites. When we got home they got them for a couple more days and I called and had them have an exterminator do an investigation. They called me two days later and told me that there were remnants of bedbugs found. You don\'t get bites from remnants! I am never going back there and discourage anyone else from going there too!

Room smelled of urine when we went in, come to find out that (moldy raspberry smell) is a bed bug infestation. Husband laying in bed felt something crawling on him and turned on the flashlight to find bed bugs on our sheets, the kids sheets and pajamas, in our baby\'s portable tent, on the walls, mattresses and bedposts. Everywhere!! Had to drive through the night to get home since no one on site and no available rooms. Still absolutely disgusted to this day.
