We both woke up with little red bumps in rows of 4 or 5 on our backs. It was horrible. The front desk said we must have chicken pox.Very rude indeed. They have lasted 4 days so far. They itch badly. I will never return.

We stayed one night in April. Woke up with bites all over my back and my girlfriends legs looked like chicken pox. Hotel denied it. Said we must have an allergic reaction to the ocean air or something else. We left early. The manager never returned our messages about the incident.

We went down to Days Inn this past weekend for a family reunion. One person got bit and found a bug in their bed. Another family didn't see anything while there but when unpacking at home found 3 in their clothing. When my Mother in Law asked the front desk about any recent sightings they said there were none, even though the person who got bit had called the front desk - so they lied about it! There have been reports on other sites as well for this hotel.

I always check the mattresses after seeing a special on TV. On the base of the matress there was a tear. The were black spots all around the tear and inside the tear. The bed bug specialist at the hotel said that it did look like a track. They were very helpful and moved me to another room on a different floor. We had no further problems. I do not believe they were going to report it though. They were calling pest control.

Saw bugs crawling on the wall next to the bed and then a few on the bed spread. Pulled the sheets up and didn't see any stains but then saw live bugs crawling out of the stitching on the mattress! Management tried to move us to another room but I declined and just got my money back and went elsewhere.

On July 4, 2011 We found 3 dead bed bugs in our linens and we called the manager on duty (Ben). He was very nice but he too insisted that they can't get bed bugs because of the type of mattress that have. He offered to send us to a different hotel, but we denied because we thought Okay we will wait until tomorrow when housekeeping and the General Manager comes to look at the bugs we found (we had them in a baggie for proof). The next day around noon we got a call from the General Mgr stating that it was NOT bed bugs that it was Weevil Beatles. Okay, we will give them the benefit of the doubt and trust that she wouldn't lie to us about it. Well, NOT AN HOUR LATER...pest control showed up...Hmmm? wonder why they are here? DUH! So we got home and looked up Weevil Beatles...not even close to what we found! I was dumbfounded! It was Bed Bugs! So I called FSK as soon as I found this out and talked to (name witheld) and I told him what I found out and asked him why the pest control was there and he whispered...housekeeping found Bed Bugs in 4 rooms in the Linens...We were lied to. The General Mgr knew there was Bed Bugs because the had called the Pest Company to come out before they even talked to us and lied to us about the bugs. We stayed there for 17 years and the last three years there were terrible. The same manager found out we got our boat parked in last year and did nothing about it..we had to push our boat out by hand. The Security Man (night shift) is the only helpful one there so far. The Maint. Man who quit there was a hard working who cared too. Anyway..the point is, we were lied to about the bugs and they tried to cover their "you know whats". I understand every place can get bed bugs...BUT I came down without them and I sure as hell are not going home WITH THEM! They should have been checking thhe linens more carefully and not tried to hide the problem. I asked to talk to the owner and they wouldn't let me...I was sent to the General Manager's Voice Mail instead...She is the one who lied to us in the first place...you really think I will believe her now???

Bitten up terribly while at this hotel. Bug crawling on body. Took bug to front desk. They threw it away. Went to ER where they confirmed insect bites! Hotel denies infestation. No compensation. Bites don't lie!!!
