We stayed there march 31 and checked out on April 1st after we discovered the bed bugs. Between the for of us, we have hundreds of bites. When we checked the bed, the mattress was crawling with bugs and there were several blood spots. We all had to be treated by a doctor and were put on fourteen day medication plans.

Room Number: several rooms were infested
A lot of young people from other countries move in the Pineapple while here in the USA on work visas, my daughter befriended some of these kids. her friends let us know that bed bugs were found in several room, management moved the residents in infested rooms to other rooms and had infested rooms treated by an exterminator. Its an ongoing problem however.

My friend Ron Midkiff and I and my two grandchildren ages 12 and 6 came to use the resort for a week on June 26 thru July 3, 2011. We stayed at 102B Marsh Tacky, a one bedroom in the cottage. We enjoyed the location and the facilities at the resort and it is very close to the neighboring historical sites . However, we encountered a very nasty episode of bedbugs bites all over our upper bodies, our doctors confirmed that it is bed bug bites. We were prescribed ointment to relieve the itch. We also bought defoggers and sprays to use in our own home to rid the bedbugs that might have gotten to our clothes and our luggages. We are monitoring our beds and furnitures to make sure we did not bring any of the bugs or else we have to hire a professional to take care of the infestation.

My boyfriend and I found this hotel randomly because it was cheap and we were exhausted after Busch Gardens and didn't want to drive any farther. Within 30 minutes, we found bed bugs behind the pillows on the bed. I wish I could upload the photo that I took! Not only the large adult black bed bugs but the little larvae. It was the worst experience ever! I immediately showed the pictures and demanded my money back from the clerk. Honestly, he acted like it was no big deal and this happens everyday. He actually thanked me for letting him know and said they would get the dogs to come in and check everything. I'm getting itchy just thinking about this place. DO NOT GO!!! We immediately crossed the street and slept at the Hampton Inn and Suites which, I have to say, was very nice! Spend the extra $60 and go there instead!!!

my 11 year old son and wife were seen in the Emergency Room tonight, with a puss rash all over their stomachs, backs, chest, legs, and arm pit area, as well as on their feet. When the doctor examined both, they were reported to be bed bug bites. The ER in turn instructed us that all items that were with us must be treated, including suit cases, bedding, furniture, clothing, our upholstry in our car. When reported to resort as instructed by our physician we were treated rudely.

We found an adult bed bug crawling over our luggage. We reported it to the front desk and the night clerk put us in a new room. While packing up our bags, the manager came into the room, denied we had found a bedbug, and told us to hurry up and pack so she could re-rent the room. They clearly weren't taking it seriously, which makes me suspect that a major infestation could happen.
