On 10/19/11 I was in the room watching TV before going to sleep, and I saw bed bugs crawling around on the sheet! Definitely bed bugs. I saw at least 3, so I know there were a bunch more hiding. I immediately called the front desk, and they were very apologetic, and said I could mover to another room, or take a full refund and try to find another hotel in the area (it was VERY late after 1:30 AM). I asked for the refund and got out of there as fast as I could (after wrapping all of my clothes I had out on the other bed in a bag, and taking a long HOT shower). Luckily I found another room at the Holiday Inn in Peabody, which was MUCH nicer and NO bugs!!!

Found a few bugs crawling in the piping of the boxspring. Clerk moved me to another room saying, "I'm sure you won't have trouble with THIS room," so maybe they DID and it's been treated. Didn't find anything in the new room...

Stayed at this hotel on April 2nd... 3 days later, i was full of bites.. got checked out and said that are def bug bites... now i have to get my place cleaned out ($1000) because i do not know if any came home with me.....

The first time went to this hotel, the room we got was NOT clean (toilet, shower, garbage in room) and there were other problems; but because we checked in late (like 2:30 AM), we did not bother to change rooms. Because of the 6 problems we had (worst was the dirty toilet..), the hotel gave us a free night, so we were happy to try the Red Roof again.

The second time we went (with our fancy "VIP" free night pass!) we checked in about 12:30 AM, were in bed watching TV until about 3 AM when we turned off the lights. About 20 minutes later I felt something crawling on my ear!!!! Turned out to be a BIG disgusting bug that I promptly squished and red blood(?) came out of it and left left a 2-inch blood stain on the fitted sheet. VERY gross. Then I checked around the pillow and saw one other bug but it was tiny; I killed that one, inspected all the pillows and sheets near the top of the bed and thought "OK, now that I have looked around we should be ok." About 10 minutes later in the light from the TV, I could see something was crawling on my pillow and that was when I found about 6 more bugs -- DISGUSTING!!!! We changed rooms about 3:45 AM and the hotel gave us another room (and did not sound very surprised). The girl with messed-up teeth at the front desk never apologized in any way for our trouble.

In the morning I called the front-desk, told them what happened and how sleep-deprived we were due to the bed-bugs problems and he was nice saying it was ok to stay for 2 hours after check-out time. At check-out, I spoke with the guy (same guy??), expressed my unhappiness, and asked for a refund. He did not argue with me and said it would take a few days to get the refund by check because we did not pay for that night (the VIP card..) that the refund would have to come from the home office. I am looking forward to that. And I cannot say I was "overwhelmed" with the customer service skills of the guy but at _least_ he did apologize.

Going forward, before I stay at ANY hotel, I will be doing a search online for bed bug reports. SO GROSS!

Nov 16 2010 I stayed at this hotel and was bit twice by bed bugs. When I pulled backed the sheets I discovered that the mattress was sealed in a mattress encasement commonly used in a bed bug infestation. I reported this to the hotel manager.

room 322 is infected with bed bugs...I have sent the hotel a comment through their web site but wanted everyone to know.

I have stayed at this hotel before and everything was fine. in fact I have stayed in this hotel a number of times with the job I have and have not had a problem till now.

I have verified Bed Bugs with a doctor (three small bites in a row all over my body).
