I checked in around 1pm on Wednesday, 4-2-12. I waited for the male person to clean the room and put new bedding down. After he left I went in and placed most of my things on tables and chairs, but put my suitcases on the floor. I turned the tv on and laid on the bed to watch tv. Around 8pm I felt like something was crawling up the inside of my pant legs and checked but couldn't see anything. I laid back down and out of the corner of my eye I saw a bug crawling next to my face. I jumped up and thought it might be a bed bug so I pulled the bed spread down and to my horror I saw many bed bugs. I got sick to my stomach and ran to the office and told the manager about the bugs and told him that they knew about the problem and didn't bother to tell me. I demanded my money back and got it and ran back to my room and started to pack up my car when I saw a man near the laundry room and I asked him if he has ever had a problem with bed bugs. He said not really and I explained my situation. He and anotehr one of his friends came to my room to check it out and they saw them and ran out of the room. I finished packing my car when 2 police cars pulled up in response to another problem in anotehr room. I asked one of them where I can report a bed bug infestation. She said to call the courthouse to locate the correct place. I got in my car and drove off in a hurry. I've been checking my clothes every day since and washing them over and over. I've also sprayed my car on the inside with pesticide to kill any that might have fallen off inside and kept my car in the hot sun every day to cook the suckers. I've been feeling buggy ever since and can't stand it. Just hope I got them all and haven't brought them back to the house.

This apartment complex had bed bugs months ago. The landlord took forever to do anything abt it. She finally did something, and they had it under control for a few months. BUT NOW THEIR BACK!!!

My husband and a co- worker stayed at the super 8 in marshalltown from 9-12-11 to 9-14-11 my husband came home that thursday night covered in bumps. They were itching so bad. we bought cortizon 10 but it was not making the itch go away. so i made a doctors appointment for him on monday the 19th. they refused to see him in the clinic so he had to go to the emergency room. by the time we got there the bumps had already turned into welts. they came to the conclusion that it was bed bugs. the only place my husband has stayed besides at home is the super 8, and with our family of 6 he is the only one with the rash. i tried to call the super 8 and the girl who answered the phone on thursday the 15th said she couldnt help me... so with no other choice i am making a report. my husband has now missed work and had an er visit for this. you would think the girl would want to help.
