We stayed at the Best Western Riverside Inn in Macon, Georgia (April 26-28, 2012). We had eighteen rooms of students and parents for a conference in Macon. We had one room, 131, that four girls got bed bug bites all over their body. We even found one of the bugs and captured it in a pill bottle. We immediately reported it to the hotel. The hotel moved the girls, contacted an exterminator, and helped wash and dry the kids clothes. They even paid for the things that were damaged by the heat of their commercial dryer. The pest control company came in and treated the room. Our school reported the matter to the health department and notified all of the families of the incident. Upon returning home, I developed thirty six small red bumps all over my back. The health department confirmed that it was bed bug bites.
