I have purchased 2 nights at the Runway Inn because it was the only vacancy after i searched from 1am to 5a, all hotels in that area were full with cruise guests. after having breakfast around 9am, came back to the room, we found bed bugs all over my pillow and in sheets. I showed the pillow to the front desk, he acted like it was the first time he sees this. he gave me refund for both nights, and all he could say is "other guests bring the bugs with them". i still have the purchase and refund reciepts. the hotel name should not be Runway Inn, it should be RUN AWAY INN. I do not beleive the hotel is doing anything to fight the bugs.

Stayed in room 306 for two nights on Friday, January 13, 2012 and Saturday, January 14th. Checked out on Sunday, January 15, 2012 early morning when a bed bug crawled by my face on my pillow. I killed it and left it on a napkin for the hotel to see and took pictures. I also checked under the two beds in my room and they were infested with bed bugs. I reported this to the front desk and stressed to them that they really need a good exterminator and they really need to buy new beds and remodel the entire hotel.

During a recent stay at the Hyatt Place Miami Airport West / Doral, I encounter BED BUGS on my one night stay. While sleeping my legs began to itch obsessively in the middle of the night. I then soon realized there were bedbugs in my bed; I took pictures of them crawling in my bed; I even killed a couple with tissue, and left that on the bed for evidence. I quickly called the front desk and was told by the agent on duty that he couldn’t do anything about it because at the time he was the only person on duty. He then informed me that I would have to discuss the issue with the general manager who would arrive at 9:00 AM.

I was there to attend our National Conference at Sea, with a tour schedule at 9:00 AM that same morning. Due to the tour, I couldn’t wait for the GM and confront him with my proof left on the bed.

I am professional travel planner, and have stayed at various Hyatt Place hotels, which are my preferred hotel, and never experienced any problems with BED BUGS. I was contacted later that afternoon informing me that he inspected the room and there was not a trace of BED BUGS. Along with notifying me that he wouldn’t compensate me for my stay. This is very unfortunate for Hyatt Place Hotel period, because I am going to SHARE MY EXPERICENCE with all my travel agent colleagues, clients, ONLINE BOOKING PARTNERS, and other Upper Management Hyatt employee’s regarding this issue, along with the Miami Dade Health Department.

Regardless of the rate I was paying, I should have been compensated for whatever I paid. I will never stay at that Hyatt Place again, and will be passing this incident on to all persons traveling to the Miami area looking for hotel accommodations – BE WARE HYATT PLACE MIAMI AIRPORT WEST DORAL HAS BED BUGS – DO NOT STAY. I AM A TRAVEL PROFESSIONAL, AND I WILL NOT BE DISMISSED AS IF I MADE THIS UP.

We stayed here fall of 2010 and were given the first-floor room to the left of the lobby that appeared to be the mainstay for those who booked the cheap online deals. We woke up the next day and I was covered in welts and when we flipped the pillow off the bed, there was a bed bug crawling underneath it. I was so severely bitten, I still have scars on my hand. I reported this to management and urged them to take proper measures to protect future guests, but I just saw an online review from Feb 2011 reporting that the author woke up covered with some kind of bites, so now I feel like I have to warn others. Be careful if you have to stay here - do not put your luggage on the floor!

On January 9, 2011, my husband and I were attacked by bed bugs in room 157, the hotel's resolution was to move us to another room - they showed us room 161, I moved the pillow and found another infestation. We immediately moved hotels. I called the hotel this morning and they confirmed bed bugs in room 157, however they denied a problem in room 161. This has been an awful experience.

I recently had four separate guest stay at the Red Roof Inn Miami Airport and all of them called our office and complained they were eaten bitterly by bedbugs. All four guest had severe bites. Neither guest knew the others were staying at the hotel and neither guest knew there were any problems with bugs. One guest and her roommate slept in separate bed and woke up to see the bugs still in the bed. They took video and pictures of the bites and bugs. Before showing the pictures to hotel managers they were told by the staff that no bugs were found in their room. However, after showing them the video they proceeded to move them to a different room and proceed with a full refund. The second set of clients call our office after returning from their vacation and stated they too were viciously bitten by bed bugs the same night although separate rooms. The second guest were told they had a rash and the staff would not acknowledge the room had bugs. Little did they know these guest also took pictures of the their bites. One guest back with bitten all over by the bugs and the other guest had bites all over both arms. From my research I can tell the incidents are not isolated and apparently there is an infestation of bed bugs in the rooms at the RED ROOF INN. However, what saddens me is management refuses to recognize the problems. I contacted the corporate office of RED ROOF INN and they have not returned my phone call neither have they answered my online complaint. The bedbugs infestation occurred yesterday and the day before so consumers beware.... WHAT HURTS ME THE MOST IF I FAILED TO CHECK THE COMPLAINTS OF THE HOTEL. THERE ARE MANY MORE COMPLAINTS SUBMITTED BY OTHERS ONLINE ABOUT THIS HOTEL..this is not a new issue but it is a problem that apparently the hotel cannot control...clients beware.

I stayed at this hotel overnight after arriving from a cruise with my sister. We were feeling refreshed and happy. I woke up the next morning with bug bites all over both my arms and my sister had bug bites all over her back. We reported it to the front desk and the clerk said that we were allergic to something (yeah, bedbugs)but I hadn't eaten anything that I don't normally eat and neither did my sister. The clerk got up set with me for reporting this. I am so upset for being infected by these bug bites. As instructed by bedbug reports, I left my luggage with all the clothes in them outside in the hot sun in the hopes that the sun will kill all the bugs. This just happened this morning so I'm not sure if the bugs are dead yet.
