We found a bedbug on the bed between the bed sheet and blanket. The front desk agent was very concerning, so she went to our room to check it. She looked at the bug on the bed seriously and took a picture with her cell phone, and then she killed the bug with a tissue paper. She then told us to pack our stuffs and move to another room. She said she did not exactly know how bed bugs look like, so she will Google it and let me know. Meanwhile, I started googling bedbugs on the internet. After I looked at the bedbugs images on the internet, I went to verify it with that front desk lady. She agreed that that was a bedbug and she said her skin started having allergy…same as me, there was rash on my skin. The lady said she already contacted her manager and sent her the picture of the bedbug in the room. I talked to the Area Operation Manager on Monday and she said she submitted an insurance claim but there was nothing else she could do because I booked the room through a third party (Priceline). However, she added she will refund me if Priceline agrees to refund me. I called Priceline and told them the situation. Priceline called the hotel manager immediately, but the manager did not keep her word; she told priceline that they did not find any proof of bedbugs in the property. I called the manager again, the front desk manager responded that they have sent maintenance to the room but did not find any proof of bedbugs in the room, so they are not able to do anything unless they find proof of bedbugs. I told him the picture could be an evident, as well as his staff. He said that picture could be taken anywhere. I reminded him the picture was taken by his staff and the staff did agree that it was a bedbug after verifying. The manager said the staff did tell him that was a bedbug, but the staff was not professional so she can’t prove that it was a bedbug...oh well.. Good luck to you all if you gonna stay in this hotel. In addition, there were problems with the phone line and light, but these are just minor issues comparing to bedbugs and how the management handles complaints…
