I awakened from my sleep I think it was Thursday night 3/31/11. my right hand was swollen, so I put a cold compress on it thinking I had burned it that evening. Long story short, then I saw a bunch of insect bites on my hands, arms, back and legs. The swelling, bug bites and itching did not cease until my allergist put me on Prednisone 20 mg. 2x/day. swelling, itching got better, but whenever I sleep in my bed, I wake up with bug bites, itching me usually on my hands and arms. apartment management had so-called "bed bug" experts come out and look. they said it was not bed bugs, rather infestation of sewer roaches, probably beetles, their droppings or eggs left in my apartment to multiply. I researched bed bugs on the Internet, and the bites I have all over my body definitely resemble the pictures of bed bugs on the Internet site. Yes, I have an infestation of sewer roaches since I moved here about 5 years ago and can't get rid of them, and yes, I do believe they are multiplying with their eggs and/or droppings. However, I believe that these so-called "bed bug" exterminator men don't know what they're doing. They are scheduled to spray tomorrow, 4/7/11 for generalized bugs, not bed bugs. I sure could use some help. Can the Pima County Health Department check this out?
