Checked in with my wife and daughter on September 24th. Checked and didn't see bloodspots/stains on linens and no other obvious signs of bedbugs. Woke up in the morning (Friday September 25th) and found a half-dozen live bedbugs crawling in my daughter's bed. Informed the front desk that I found bedbugs in our room. They asked to see the bedbugs. I brought them the bugs we found a trapped in a ziplock. The manager confirmed they were bedbugs and asked if we wanted to use their dryer or wanted to take a shower in another room. We had already bagged up our items and showered/put on new clothes, We were already and hour and a half late for an appointment. When we went to the desk to ask for a full refund, their was a few guests on their way out, chatting with each other, otherwise not doing any business with the hotel staff. The manager came out and asked us to step back in her office. We declined. She continued insisting, and we told her that whatever she had to say could be said right there in the lobby. She became hostile, condescending, and at one point implied that we brought the bedbugs, and said, "you can just go," as well as, "you can take your bedbugs with you". I have a video of this interaction. We have received a full refund, but will be the PA consumer protection agency and the hotel chain to offer compensation for our associated expenses.
