12/18/2020 - 12/20/2020 The first bug we saw was a dead one laying on the notepad on the nightstand right next to the bed. I had never seen or had any experience with bed bugs in my entire life until the stay at the Comfort Inn hotel in Avon, CO!!! So, I thought it was "just a bug". We slept in #123 Fri (12/18/2020) to Sat (12/19/2020) with no worries. On Saturday morning, my daughter who works in Beaver Creek came to the hotel room and sat on the bed. I showed her the bug on the notepad and we were wondering what kind of bug it could be! On Saturday evening, we noticed a bug running near the bathroom tile floor. Then another dead one nearby. That was when we started doing some research. We were sitting on the bed when my son yelled for attention. A fairly big one was running IN THE BED where he was sitting/sleeping!!! That's when I went to the front office. Unfortunately, only some young girls were working who really couldn't do much but give me a key to another room next door (#125). We moved into that room but were unpleasantly greeted by a toilet that had a nasty hairball floating in it! The complimentary lotion seemed to have been used as it had dried up lotion smeared on the side. We were more than disgusted by the conditions of this hotel!
