Bedbugs were discovered at 12:15AM on May 17, 2025 at the Pelham Quality Inn, Pelham, AL. We checked in at 9:30PM, May 16, 2025. At midnight, I found a bed bug. After finding 4 which i placed in a plastic cup and left on the dresser, we immediately packed our bags and left the room. We requested a refund from the front desk and were initially told the front desk clerk would need to speak to the manager and could not refund us until the manager checked things in the morning. They tried to offer us another room. They eventually did refund but only after we had taken the front desk girl to the room and showed her the bugs in the cup as well as ones I found in the bed while she was there.
