On September 14, 2026, I reported a bedbug infestation and requested treatment. The infestation was primarily in my mattress and box spring but also on my bedroom walls. I have no confirmed the number of beg bugs but I believe there were at minimum >100 bed bugs in my mattress and box spring. I followed up on September 15, 2026 and only later learned that all of my communications had been with an AI chatbot and not an employee. On September 23, 2026, I went to the management office and requested treatment in person. I was told that a manager would contact me the following morning and schedule a treatment. That did not occur. On September 29, 2026, sent another follow-up email detailing the delay and once again requesting treatment and on September 30, 2026, I followed up again in-person which finally led to a treatment being scheduled for October 6, 2026. For the entire 22 day period between the initial report and the scheduled treatment, I am contractually barred from treating for bed bugs myself. Mac Properties delays have made my apartment uninhabitable and pose a significant health risk to myself and the general public. I also suspect there is a building-wide bed bug infestation that Mac Properties is concealing. A property manager informed me that the delay was caused by a "mix-up" with the pest control team which I suspect means there are multiple bedbug infestations in my building which are straining pest control resources.
