Incident Report: Bedbug Infestation & Service Negligence Event Summary: On our second day at the property, we noticed multiple insect bites appearing on our skin. We immediately reported the issue to the front desk, and staff transferred us to a different room. Despite changing rooms, new bites continued to appear every night. Due to the worsening condition of the bites, we sought medical attention at an urgent care clinic in New York. The attending medical staff formally confirmed that the lesions were consistent with bedbug bites. Management Response & Escalation: Upon returning to the hotel with medical confirmation, we presented the documentation to the front desk and management. The property staff completely denied responsibility, asserting that the hotel has never had bedbugs. Rather than investigating the claim or offering support, staff questioned our travel history and explicitly accused us of bringing the pests into the hotel ourselves. No resolution, assistance, or alternative accommodation support was offered. Staff informed us that no further action would be taken and implied we should either manage the situation on our own or check out immediately.
