Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

We stayed for 2 nights on Aug 29 and 30th. The first evening we came in and went to the pool. It was very dirty and looked like the floor around it hadn't been cleaned in forever. We went to bed and got up to go to the children's museum. We noticed bites on my husband and son who slept in the same bed. My husband's were red and swelling on his arms, leg, forehead and neck. My sons was in a large batch on his neck. I hadn't seen any on me yet. When we got back from the museum I requested a room change. We didn't see anything but we have never had to deal with this before and weren't sure where all to check. We slept the next night with no more bites until on the way home I noticed 4 bites on my leg all in a row. My husband went to urgent care back home because his reaction was so bad. His were seaping really bad and the one on his knuckle had swollen up and filled with puss. The Dr confirmed bed bug bites!
