Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

Checked in 7/29/2026, found a live adult bed bug on the bed on 8/1/2026. Searched the bed crevices further and found an additional dead bed bug. Photos were taken, the bugs were bagged and brought down to the front desk. The front desk said the hotel was sold out so a room switch wasn't an option. We could either go to a different hotel and foot the bill until their 'investigation' concluded and depending on the results we might get reimbursed for the new hotel, or we could bag our belongings and sleep in the room. Every other hotel within 30 minutes was sold out, so we were forced to stay in the room during the last night of our stay. Precautions were taken upon returning home on 8/2/2026, however only time will tell if we brought home an infestation or not.
