I stayed at this hotel July 25-26 and checked out July 27. On the morning of July 26 I began experience welts on my body and it progressed throughout the weekend. Most of the welts were in clusters or in lines. I brought it to the attention of the hotel who had orkin do an inspection. Orkin said there were no bed bugs. The scientific literature shows sniffer dogs to be 44% accurate in detecting bed bugs, while visual inspections are also unreliable. I provided this scientific data to the hotel and what ensued what a series of emails where they blatantly ignored the scientific data provided to them. The hotel at this point has admitted and I quote “ We do not dispute that you experienced insect bites during your stay”. Based on the pictures it is clear these are bed bug bites (I can send you the pictures) I have been home for 4 nights and have not experienced any new bed bug bites since being home.
