Awake at 1:30 am from BED BUG bites. Took video and pictures, called front desk to report. We removed all clothing we had on in that bed and put them on the floor in the room. Got dressed and went to desk to check out. The man there was apologetic and we showed him the pictures and video. Our pictures are time stamped, dated with location. We checked out and went to another hotel in Teays Valley, WV. Upon our arrival there, I called customer service and they filed a claim. I was to hear something within a 5 day time period. We were traveling to a funeral in KY, and not home until 6 days passed without any email or call about the claim. So, I called and was told the General Manager, reported to corporate office that NO bed bugs where there and that a third party came in and found nothing. I called a couple of times and asked to speak with the GM, and was told he was out of town for the week. I have still not heard a word from GM, and the only information I've received was from the phone calls I have made. I would like to find an attorney in the area that would pursue this issue for me. I was only asking to have my points returned that I used to stay there and compensation for the room we had to pay, and the few pieces of clothing we left that made contact with the bed. I also have pictures of bites on me. I am 70 years old and have never had anything like this happen. I also have a lot of anxiety from this entire experience. Mainly because the manager flat out lied to corporate office and he never bothered to give me his report that was sent to them.
