9/1 Stayed at this air b and b with some friends (was supposed to be for a week). Normally I always check the bed before I sleep for bed bugs, but I room swapped with one of my buddies and forgot to check because it was late. Through out the night I felt like I had things crawling on me, but I just calked this up to paranoia because usually when I go to new hotels or resorts I feel this sensation due to my own psychosis, however this time it was not. I woke up around 6 in the morning to use the bathroom and when I cam back into the room in the morning light I noticed blood on the sheets. My heart sank when I found this, and when I looked closer at the bed and box spring I noticed a thick encasing around both of them intended to not let bed bugs out, and bed bug excrement all along the seems, and then I finally saw one. The more I looked the more of them I found, I saw at least 6 adults and several nymphs before I would tap out from looking at anymore. My friends and I lifted the box spring and mattress to see where they're coming from and we noticed a hole in the bottom of the box spring cover, and an uncountable amount of bed bug exoskeletons in the bed railing. When we reported the issue to Southern Comfort all they offered to pay for our dinner, when potentially all of us and our items where now contaminated due to a heavy infestation. It's been a week since then and I have at least 70 different bites on me from that night (don't believe I got any from after that, but unsure) and we lost a couple days of our vacation by having to meticulously clean our items and change air b and bs. I lost several hours of sleep this week and freak out every time a hair moves on my body now. To add insult to injury the company had my legitimate review removed from google some how, so people won't be warned not to rent from them!
