Please note that I have attempted to post this review twice on the hotel’s website, but it has never been approved. Check-in 9/19: No issues   9/20 AM: I found a bug in the adjacent bed that resembled a bed bug (without the expected brown/red color). I captured the bug and discreetly showed it to the front desk. After consulting with housekeeping, she said it was not a bed bug. Her exact words were, “I PROMISE that is not a bed bug.” I shrugged it off and went about my day.   Later I woke up with roughly 20 bites on my body and a bed bug in my bed. I took it to the front desk and requested a new room. I was given a new room, but I was denied garbage bags for my belongings to prevent the beg bugs from making it into my car and home.   I purchased garbage and ziplock bags, but ultimately left my luggage and other personal items at the hotel. It wasn’t worth the risk of the bugs following me home. I required medical attention for the bites. The General Manager of the hotel was unsympathetic and offered $100 off my stay. Little consolation considering the $1,000 in expenses I incurred in the form of lost property and medical bills (beyond the cost of my three-night stay). Neither room was as clean as you would expect for a Holiday Inn Express. I am including photos with the review.    I wouldn’t bother with this location. It’s not worth the expense or the hassle. I should note that there were two ladies who were helpful during the checkout process. I appreciated their help.
