Checked in 8/1/23 (really close to midnight 8/2/23) Checked out 8/4/23. Stayed 3 nights. No problems the first 2 nights, but my son slept in his clothes those nights. The last night, he slept in his underwear only. Expedia specifically asked the front desk if they had bedbugs due to a bad experience at another local place, was told “we’ve never had bedbugs.” My son woke up this morning with bites ALL over him. Evidence was found on the bed - an exoskeleton, black dots, blood. No live bugs (because it’s daylight at this point and they hide in the daytime). I went downstairs and got someone to come inspect, who agreed with me that it was definitely evidence of bedbugs. Called Expedia because they told me if we had any problems at this location, to let them know. Expedia called Red Roof Inn to request a refund. GM told Expedia someone checked the room and found no evidence of bedbugs! I was present when they checked and told me it was bedbugs! So, I called to speak with the GM myself. She told me “you brought them here on your clothes. We don’t have bedbugs. WE GET THIS COMPLAINT ALL THE TIME…….” I asked for her name at this point bc she’s yelling at me. She replied “I’m not giving you my name” and hung up the phone. Terrible. Do not stay here.
