Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

Military move... Booked a room August 10 and 11, 2023 at Springhill Inn and Suites by Marriott to rest before moving day. Found a live bug on the sheets around 1 am... Not ever seeing a bedbug we didn't know what to look for... Woke up with bites as did my granddaughter... Began researching and realized the room had many signs of bed bug activity including shed casings on pillow and IN pillow, blood marks on comforter from bedbug being killed after feeding. Staff said she was an expert in bedbugs and proceeded to tell me that bedbugs don't have casings.... When I held my ground she danced around and took it back same with pillow bugs and blood on comforter. We ended up leaving ALL of our clothes, suitcases and shoes because it isn't worth the risk of having your home infested. Staff even had the audacity to say out loud, " Maybe you brought them with you?" I said, They were IN the pillows... She tried to say they don't hide there ...
