Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

Upon arriving at The Pioneer Motel we were greeted by a lady who runs the place. Her 30 minute check in procedure while listening to her ramble about several things that shouldn't be discussed we finally were given room 20 which is a King pet friendly room. Being that it was the middle of June the room was hot and looks like they just painted over filth to give the impression of being remodeled. We reported this to the lady who became very upset with us for telling her that the room had bed bugs. I was broke out for days afterwards and had to throw away all my clothes that entered the room. Upon pulling back the sheets in the room the next morning we find that the bed and box springs were wrapped in bed bug covers as were the pillows. This was May 16 2023 and we reported it the very next morning. No refunds.
