May 10-May 12 2023, Bitten by Bed Bugs, at Sheraton NY Times Square. Video of bugs. Reported to the front desk at 7:30 am. Management referred me to hotel security. Hotel Security was at shift change and the overnight manager took my name and contact info and said he would pass the info on to the day manager. At 12:50 pm I had not heard back, so went again to the front desk and was brought to the head of security at the hotel. The security manager said they would investigate but the inspector would not be there until the following day. I explained I was not staying another night and would like a copy of the report I filed. He said he would get me a copy. Tried to state it was a suspected case and not an actual case until the inspector came out. I said I had a video. He looked at it and said, well that could just be a baby cockroach. I said No, cockroaches don't bite, and I am from Texas so I know what a cockroach looks like. He said um well I will get an inspector out and then send you a report. I received a call at 8:00 pm saying the inspector came out and confirmed bed bugs. (more than 12 hours later) I finally got the report but it says "suspected bed bugs". I did not receive the inspector's report only a copy of my complaint. As far as I know, they did not quarantine the room or post any notice to hotel guests.
