05/06/2023 11am I was on the kitchen eating, and I looked over at the bed, noticed a brown spot at the bedding corner. I grabbed a dishcloth, went over to bed, picked up, and squished the spot in between my fingers. I opened the towel and there was an insect that had been filled with blood, blood spots on the washcloth. I told my kids to get off the bed, get our dog, and go to the lobby. My eldest was in shower I told him to hurry up, stay off beds, get to lobby. I rushed down to lobby with washcloth, show front desk. She put her head down said omg I’m so sorry called her manager. I said what am I suppose to do? She said leave your things in room, I’ll get them wash. Refund. I asked to move rooms and refund. I went back up to room to pack up what wasn’t fabric. Prepare to move rooms. The manager called me, told me I had 5 mins to leave. I was 9 hours from home and had itinerary with three kids and dog. Telling us to leave, possibly bringing bed bugs with us was beyond irresponsible. I called 911, the police came. Front desk didn’t listen to manager, good job. She is washing our fabric items, gave us a new room on another floor. I’ve called corporate and health dept.
