Date of Stay/Incident:  2/24 - 2/26, 3 Nights Queen Double - Room 223 DETAILS: The room smelled of disinfectant and appeared to be clean.  I pulled back the bedding and there were no visible bugs. The next morning, I noticed a few raised bumps on my hand and arm and thought it may have been an allergic reaction. They were slightly itchy but not overly irritating. The morning of checkout, while washing my face, I noticed several raised red bumps on the side of my neck and could feel more raised bumps on the back and nape of my neck and my back. I immediately go into the room, turn on all the lights, pull back the bedding on both beds and see a large bed bug crawling on the pillow and a smaller bug crawling on the bed. I call the front desk and tell them I had been bitten by bed bugs and they send maintenance to inspect the room. While waiting for maintenance, I take pictures and make a video. Maintenance agrees that the room has bed bugs and proceeds to tell me that it is up to management to decide compensation.  MANAGEMENT: Initially the front desk employee stated that management would refund one night stay. I explained that was unacceptable and asked to speak to the manager who refused to come out from the back office to talk to me after several request. When he finally did come out he spoke to me from the corner and said there was nothing they could do and would have an exterminator come out to spray the room. I then asked about the one night refund and he refused to issue a service recovery and walked back to his office. The conversation was over. I have since contacted Choice Inc, the parent company.
