On 7/13/22 my mom/dad and I checked in. My dad was going to have heart surgery on the following days. We were scheduled to be at the hotel and hospital for 12 nights. After we unloaded my SUV we went up to our room and unpacked. After looking around the room we noticed the room was not cleaned from the previous guests. I called the front desk and told them. Two hours later we received a few sheets, towels and I requested a vacuum. I cleaned the room and all was fine. I went and looked at the mattresses in the room and I could not find anything. Upon further inspection, I pulled all the sheets and took the mattress off to one side of the bed and a bug was crawling. I was FaceTime my husband at the time and he said grab a cup and keep it. I then found another one on the green bed sham. I placed both in the cup and I had a ziploc baggie so I sealed the cup with two bedbugs inside and went to the front desk. They called an engineer- who took the ziploc bag with the two live bugs inside. I told him I needed them back and he said he had to keep them. I had already taken pictures of them anyway. He came up to the room and looked himself and he found old dead bedbugs. My mom and I went and washed and dried all of our clothes/shoes on HOT. All 3 pairs of my tennis shoes shrunk and now I can’t wear them. Good thing I also brought my Birkenstock sandals with me. We put everything in large plastic bags and tied them shut. They gave us a new room on a different floor and I checked the best I could. I hope and pray there are none in this room. I have so many bites already on my body. I itch so badly.
