Bedbug Reviews

June 12, 2022 approx. 10 pm. I found a little telltale blood spot on the bottom sheet near the wall; when I pulled the sheet back and pulled back the mattress welt, in that little crease, were countless brown flakes of shed shell and flecks of poop. I promptly packed up my bag and went down to the front desk, told them what I had discovered, and just asked for another room. The woman who helped me was very accommodating and provided me with another room, 3 floors away, which appeared to be clear. However, the next day, I received an email and a note under my door, delivered sometime between 11 pm and 6 am. Neither addressed the elephant in the room - just referred to "the incident" and "loss prevention." When I called their "loss prevention" department as requested, I was told that the room had been inspected and did not have any "evidence" (they still did not say the words "bed bugs"). Honestly, I felt like I was being gaslighted. To clarify, there were not just a couple of flecks of fluff that could have been mistaken for bed bugs. It was unmistakable. I am extremely taken aback that the whole situation was treated as an "incident" and that I was pretty much called a liar. Not once did I receive anything close to an apology. I have since received a follow up email that said "we are very sorry for what happened to you." Not once has anyone used the words "bed bugs". It's always "the incident" and "what happened to you".
