Checked in 4/21/2022; checked out 4/24. Noticed a couple of bites 4/22, more on 4/23. No experience with bed bugs, did not know cause of bites. No known exposure to other sources of bites. By 4//24, about 18 bites, all consistent with internet discussions of bed bugs. Now, 4/27, about 24 bites, various stages of development. Course of infections also consistent with internet discussions. Reported to hotel by phone 4/24, was told I would be called back on 4/25, no return call. Best we can figure, location was a sofa in the room, not the bed, based on who was where, and what I was wearing - bites on exposed skin. UPDATE 4/28/2022: They just called, they did find bedbugs, they are exterminating, they have offered to comp the room (I said I wasn’t looking for compensation), and to let them know if we have problems at home, although we have done everything we can to keep them out of here. So, belated response was very good.
