Woke up 3/26/22 in room 124 to bed bugs filled with blood crawling on bed. Blood stains on sheets. Bites broke out 3 days later on husband. Had to go to Urgent Care - will have permanent scars. Mine broke out 11 days later, and mild. My anxiety is thru the roof when we stay in a hotel again. We have video and pictures. Nightmare experience with no help from Staff was notified.

5/31/23 - 6/5/23 Went on a family vacation to Florida and stayed at the Hampton Inn Marathon - FL Keys. On the morning of June 4th one of our family members felt something crawling on her, she grabbed it and took it to the bathroom to see what it was. Thought it was a bed bug, Googled it and sure enough, BED BUG. It had recently fed on our family as it was full of blood. We alerted hotel staff to be told the manager wouldn't be in for hours and couldn't call him in early because "they frown upon overtime"! When we spoke with the manager he said maybe it was just ants, we showed him pictures/video from the room and he said "Is that the only one you saw?" He then confirmed "that's a bed bug". We observed and took pictures of dead bed bugs, living bed bugs and larvae/eggs. We asked for and still want a full refund for our stay. The General Manager said she couldn't refund until she had confirmation from EcoLab that they were bed bugs. EcoLab confirmed the bed bugs in a report we received later that week. Jill has refunded $500 of our almost $3,000 stay which she states is a "kind gesture". A kind gesture would be to refund our stay, if you wanna go above and beyond you could reimburse us for the items that had to be laundered in hot water and high heat (at the hotel staffs advice) and no longer fit or were damaged, and for the luggage that we no longer have.
