I stayed at the Dover Inn for 3 days. I never slept under the covers , but on my 2nd day there I saw a bug crawling on the covers. I didn’t get a good look at it so I thought it was a beetle or something else. I looked up what a bed bug looked like so if i saw anything else i would know for sure. I slept in the chair that night. The following morning I sat on the bed and accidentally fell asleep. When I woke up there was a maroon colored bug resembling a bed bug crawling on the covers again. I was able to kill it and identify it to be a bed bug. I left it on a paper towel in the room and took a picture of it. I was checking out that day, and I told the staff at the front I found a bed bug in the room. Anytime I pulled the covers back to look or search for them though and I couldn’t find any! They are sneaky little buggers. Only came out when I was sitting on bed. Front staff offered no refund. And only asked where I found the bug . They have not quarantined or taken steps to resolve the issue. I have checked back. My stay was October 22, 2021. I believe this motel still had bed bugs and will not be returning.
