Checked in on Sunday Sept 5 around 4pm. Having gotten the room key we went straight to room before unloading car as were to stay until 9/8/21 and wanted to be sure everything was up to parr. The whole place is nicely modern, smells so fresh and clean. The room itself is nicely appointed, bright and smelled so nice. As per our usual entrance to a room we checked out the bathroom which was excellent, then went straight to the bed. I removed first the comforter which was fresh and clean, then the flat sheet which also was clean and fresh. Removed the fitted sheet, fresh and clean not even a wrinkle. It was upon lifting the fitted mattress protector that i found a full grown female bedbug sitting just below the crease between the mesh and fabric. i took a picture and we left immediately. The gentleman at the front desk quietly looked at my picture, and quickly and without trouble refunded us and cancelled our reservation. We left and ended up crashing at my sons house. I just recently contacted the CEO of hilton via email but haven't heard back yet. I still have the picture as well.
