I reserved 2 rooms at Oceans 2700 from 01July - 05 July, 2021. My stay at Oceans 2700 was the worst travel experience I have EVER had. And their non-existent customer service made it all the worse. Upon check in, my floor was filthy, covered with sand and dirt. The room smelled AWFUL. I requested a new room, or for mine to at least be cleaned, but was refused service. So I asked for a broom, AND CLEANED THE ROOM MYSELF. I have pictures of the piles I swept up personally. Then I took a look at the sheets, and saw that they were also sandy and not clean. Once again, I asked the front desk to issue a new room, or at the very least clean mine, and again was denied. SO THEN I GOT FRESH SHEETS AND MADE THE BED MYSELF. And finally, to top off my stay, I woke up the following morning with bites and a rash on my midsection. I thought nothing of it, until while sitting in bed, I saw the bed bug crawling on me. I cleared out my room and left the hotel immediately. I filed a dispute with my credit card company and travel agency. After weeks of attempts, I was unable to obtain a refund because this hotel wouldn't even answer the calls of the travel agency. The one time they did, no manager was present to take the call. I am still unable to make contact with the hotel or discuss my issues. I will make every effort to expose the pure disgust and terrible service of this hotel. I have no hesitation in calling this a scam. I implore anyone anticipating a stay in VA Beach to take your business elsewhere. Any hotel nearby is lightyears better than this place. When I checked into my secondary hotel, I spoke to the manager about my poor experience at Oceans 2700. He said he frequently gets customers with similar experiences. Several reports of bed bugs, prostitution, and drug dealing have all been brought to his attention.
