3/3/2020 My sons and I were lounging on the beds when I saw a bug next to me (it looked like a baby roach). I smashed it, and it smelled weird. I thought maybe it was just a bug from the woods, so we stayed up a little longer. We were about to get ready for bed when my son saw a bug on the other bed. I had my son look up bed bugs on the internet, and it looked just like the pictures. While he did that, I grabbed the bug and put it in a plastic cup with another cup inside it. We got our things together to check out (it was 12:30 a.m. on 3/4), and there was another one on the bed I saw the first bug on. We took our bags down to the front desk to check out and give the cup to the overnight person. He said he was closing out the day on the computer and couldn't do anything, so I told him I would take care of it later. I didn't want to stay there any longer than we had to. We drove home, and I emailed the lodge about the incident (this was at 2:30 a.m. on 3/4). I didn't hear from them, so I called the lodge on 3/5 and was transferred to the manager's voicemail. The issue has not been resolved yet.

10/24/2020 Inspected mattresses and box springs before bringing anything into the cabin, did not see any bugs initially. Stayed first night, woke up Saturday morning and left cabin to explore surrounding areas, was gone until about 2pm. Decided to nap while my husband and son went to water-park (I am 6 months pregnant and was pretty pooped after exploring/hiking.) Bed bug crawled right in front of my face on the pillow! I immediately freaked, trapped it in a water bottle and begun packing our things. Water bottle was taken to management, who apologized and offered a refund of our money for the night we had stayed and the night we paid for but would not be using. Management said they exterminate monthly and apologized for our experience and inconvenience.Threw a lot of our things directly into the trash, stripped naked in our garage, clothes immediately went into hot water washing machine, bathed, and have fumigated our SUV with the rest of our things inside it.
