Booked a stay at the Emerald Grande room #712 on December 6-9th, 2019. Our stay ended on the 8th after finding bed bugs active in 2 or the 3 bedrooms at 11pm at night on the 7th. My guest found them crawling on the babies sleeping in the bed and killed several bugs. Maintenance came to confirm the infestation and took pictures and the front desk gave us a new room but we had to leave all of our belongings in the original room. We were told the room would be treated the next day...then it changed to Monday...then it changed to Wednesday. We've been without my child's car seat and stroller since the 8th. Management didn't offer to comp our stay, we had to ask about that and was given a number to my timeshare to try to redeem my points used. NO offers for free meal or anything else to help with the inconvenience to our stay. Bed bugs are a nightmare and the hotel is not responsible if they travel home! At least they were willing to treat our belongings that were left behind but this is not something I wish upon anyone. Management was respectful during the whole process but I guess I expected more from the situation in regards to accommodating us besides just giving us a new room.
