Recommended tips after hotel check-in:
1. Pick up the mattresses in the rooms and look under it. Check around the edges of the box springs.
2. Check under the box spring.
3. Lift up each headboard an lay it on the bed. Carefully inspect the hole where the headboard was lifted out of. Also, inspect all niches and corners of the headboard.
4. If you decide to stay in the hotel, do not put any clothes in dressers. Keep them in your luggage and your dirty clothes in plastic bags.

I stayed at the Oyster Bay Inn for work. While there, on the night of Aug 26, 2019, I was bitten by bed bugs. I had over 100 bites all up my arms, shoulders and back of the neck. I asked the front desk for a new room but was told that they were full when they only had five cars in the parking lot. The maintenance guy came and confirmed it was bed bugs. He told me that they would refund me my money, but then management refused a refund. The GM said that he was not authorized to say that. They both blamed the bed bugs on the military that stay there. When I asked to for the phone number for Gayatri Hospitality (The Company that runs it), the GM refused to give it to me saying that she just couldnâ€™t give out other peoples numbers. I googled it and found the number online.
